We have urgent volunteer needs to help refugees in Arizona. Volunteering is one of the most impactful actions you can take to help. A few of the most urgent position needs include:
First Friends & Co-Sponsor Teams: Support refugee individuals or families that have just resettled here in navigating their new community - have fun together as well as help them with practical tasks such as bus riding, grocery shopping, and navigating their career path.
English as a Second Language Tutors: Teach English reading and writing to newly resettled refugees. Have simple, natural conversation practice with refugees who are learning the language.
Register for volunteer orientation today to get started.
Upcoming orientation classes are on February 20th from 3pm to 5pm or March 18th from 11:30am-1pm.
View the steps to acquire your level one fingerprint card. Many volunteer opportunities that directly serve refugees require a fingerprint card. We recommend getting started on this process today.
