Zoom Tips from LSS-SW
Until we can be together in person, we can still be together online. Zoom is a great way to stay in touch with family and friends, and we hope you will use it to join us for special events!
If this is your first time, we’ve included everything you need to know below.
What is Zoom?
Zoom is online videoconferencing software that is used in business, education, and social settings. Think of it as a virtual meeting space. When attending a webinar, you won’t be able to speak with or see other guests, but will be watching a presentation. You will have the opportunity to type messages using the chat feature and ask questions using the Q&A feature.
What do I need to use Zoom?
You can watch on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. If you are using a desktop computer, make sure that it has speakers to hear the audio portion of the presentation.
Do I have to create an account on Zoom?
No, you do not need to create an account to attend.
If you are using mobile device, we recommend installing the free Zoom app prior to the event.
Is it safe?
Security is always a concern on the internet. The good news is, you won’t be sharing private information over the call. Click here to read about Zoom’s privacy and security standards.
Some tips to improve your experience:
